My characters vs lying!

So Ren grew up realizing that if he was 100% truthful all the time, bad things sometimes happened. At least, as far as being raised went. But out in the real world, he tends to just... default to his natural inclination towards the truth, no matter how embarrassing it may be. He may fib from time to time, but that's only if he thinks it'll spare someone's

feelings.

He may lie by omission on occasion.

Touma only fibs when it comes to people worrying about him and he's hit his limit on "letting someone worry about him". Even when his emotions are doing a number on him, he relies heavily on his own logic, and so therefore, he may say he's okay, because logically, he knows he will be okay, but he may not be okay in the moment.

Elleve only lies by omission. To outright tell a falsehood is strongly against his beliefs - and he's also rather religious. More often than not, he will simply opt for silence if he thinks he can't - or shouldn't - tell the truth.

And, for the voicetesting side, Niles/Zero will lie from one breath to the next if it serves him well, and so long as he doesn't cause problems for Leo/Leon if we're talking when he becomes Leo's retainer. If it actually helps him, so much the better. He'll also lie just to see if it'll get a rise out of people. Or just to mess with them. He's all about

drawing out others' true natures to the surface (especially as far as Halloween!Niles from FE Heroes is concerned) and will employ his both witty and cunning tongue to that end.

One of these things is not like the other~~~

On a completely off-note from these things, I've noticed that Ren has pretty much no qualms with accepting anything supernatural. But, (unless the AU flows otherwise,) he's completely shocked by physical violence and will side-eye anyone who talks casually about hurting/killing people/anything.
