Got my CT scan for my lung nodules this morning. it was a quick in and out, didn't even take five minutes, which was nice. now it is just a waiting game till Monday when I follow up with my gp

I wore leggings and a tank, forgoing my bra, and the tech thanked me for wearing the perfect outfit, haha

I am... idk. not freaked out, but. kind of calm and empty about this ATM
ѕo Hαıʟ Sιтнιѕ
cause, on the one hand. lung nodules that have grown in size somewhere within the last four years; my paternal grandfather died of lung cancer. my father has smoked my entire life, and has black lungs himself.
ѕo Hαıʟ Sιтнιѕ
on the other; I've never touched a cigarette a day in my life, I'm still under thirty-five, and I've had serious bronchitis more times than I can count, which can cause lung nodules, so

Fingers crossed

on the other hand, I may have just texted my brother to tell him he really needs to reconsider quitting smoking again, cause.

I might text Dad too, but then. they just found nodules on HIS lungs a few months ago, and he just shrugged it off while the rest of us freaked out, so

I don't understand smokers. my (maternal) grandfather refused to quit smoking even when he was dying of lung cancer and wheeling around an oxygen tank.

(wait, not maternal, but non-blood paternal)
ѕo Hαıʟ Sιтнιѕ
my grandma and Dad watched both my grandfathers die of lung cancer, and still refuse to quit.
ѕo Hαıʟ Sιтнιѕ
and I'm just. how??? how can you watch this happen, lose people like that, and still do this to yourself?
ѕo Hαıʟ Sιтнιѕ
sorry, just. thoughts that are running around my head, considering the possibilities
ѕo Hαıʟ Sιтнιѕ
maybe I'm a little more unsettled/bothered than I realized
