Well, that emergency alert test was underwhelming, to say the least

...yeah, what the hell was that?

I'm in the cafe at my school's library and I was expecting a lot more noise with everyone being around....I barely even heard MY phone

FEMA is testing a new nationwide alert

It basically does the same thing that an amber alert or weather emergency alert does locally, but for the whole country

I just....yeah. lol. That was kinda disappointing.

Same though, I put off lunch because I wanted to hear the chaos at the office and then it was nothing...

on the one hand I'm glad but on the other hand I don't feel like I would have been alerted if there was an emergency

But it did go through, so....I guess it's something?

I don't think I even HEARD my phone go off, because I was using it to play music

Mine never goes off when it's on silent, which it always is if I'm at work
