my knowledge of them is very tangential but i'm reading adventure one volume 1 and plan to read the rest when they come out so taako and griffin are my favorites
justin mcelroy is a very good boy who learns fast and just wants to be nice to people and make them laugh and stay in his house because going outside is terrifying
i wish i could listen to their podcast but i just am bad with Only Audio Show but there's something really beautiful about these like straight white boys learning about the other side and embracing it all so readily
esp since my friend tells me he was very unsure about making taako gay at first and worried about his representation of him because of the way he talked
Griffin used to come across especially mean sometimes too, and I don't think it's on purpose (i'm the youngest brother too, i get the struggle) but it's very Young and Annoying of him
and fwiw they never boast about it themselves but they've done a Lot for talking about people with generalized anxiety bc the truth of some of the behavior as well is that they are Nervous Wrecks, the whole lot of them
where people told griffin about the bury your gays trope and like right up until the finale he would mention that as one of his biggest shames in the show
i remember a little before Stolen Century they actually went to Twitter asking any of their trans fans if they could talk to them bc they wanted to be respectful with how they handled Lup
and also the Sawbones episode where Rileigh pretended to have freaky fridayed with justin and she was in fact Justin asking Sydnee about "his new teen girl body"
that said I love the comedy monologs Justin (and also Griffin) do, but even more I love when they just tag team ad-lib like some sort of seamless comedy hivemind
