Want to make over an SL character, but... don't know which one, or what I want to do

Human or furry? I very nearly turned an alt of mine into furry. >_<

I don't know? I don't like most of the furry stuff in sl because it tends to look like a fur suit, instead of trying to look 'real'? And its harder to mod head shape and such.

Yeah, it is hard to find realistic looking furry avatars in SL, they always seem a bit cartoonish.

There are some decent creature avvies out there. I particularly have enjoyed bird avvies. I can also highly recommend having an avvie that is an object. I have a bucket avvie that I like quite a bit. Both inanimate objects and small critters get ignored in groups so they are especially handy when you want to avoid being harrassed.

If you search as (animal) avatar or quad (animal) you will have more luck than searching as furry.

Tiny avatar?

Oh, I can remodel myself, I think - its just more of a symptom; I can't make any decisions, can't get motivated to do anything really... but I -want- to do things. So I waffle about trying to figure out what I want to do.

Waffle? You should really try being a Tiny! (Sorry, I have too much fun being a tiny. No social pressure, no sexual propositions, no costly fashion... The only « cold callers » I get are to tell me how cute I am! )

There’s a pretty cool doll avie. Haven’t done that with any of my toons due to that a new wardrobe especially for it would be costly

Foggy : Can you recommend any particular bird avis? I'd love to explore being a hawk!

There’s cyborg/android or so, but be careful what mesh body you choose if you go that route because a lot of designers seem to favor Maitreya bods for the spare parts
