I have ra. The new immuno suppressant she put me on hasn't been covered by my insurance. Or the one before that so basically I've been off one for six months at this point. I asked her to put me on enbrel which has worked for me in the past and am anti inflammatory med because I am taking 1000mg of Advil every four hours. I specifically said I did not want

An opiate and she instead wants to try another new one and put me on prednisone. Which she fucking didn't even call in yet.

Idk if you've tried Tramadol. It's been gorgeous for me through the joint pain with chemo?

It's hard to get a new doc with something like this honestly. Because for six months they won't do duck all because yeah drug seeking is huge here.

Unfortunately tramadol is on the same narc list as like Vicodin and Percocet and shit. She wants me to stop taking the Advil even with the predisone. I'm like so done.

It's so funny to me because the only doc other than my shrink who I felt listened to me literally nearly killed me last year.

I'd still rather have him.

(I mean, they told Mom to stop taking Advil but that was because it was actively interfering with how one of her meds worked, and told her Tylenol was fine instead.)

Yeah. If I am like thirty minutes late with my Advil I lose three hours of spell slots. I can't imagine not having anything.

If there’s a reason why not to, then tell you and offer an alternative. It’s fucking Advil, it’s not an opioid.

(Also when it comes to finding a new RA doc, I hear you. Maine (or our part of it) literally has one arthritis office. It’s out of network for our insurance so Mom’s copay used to be $60 every time before she went on Medicare. And her beloved doc retired and she doesn’t love her new one but other than switching in house... she has no options.)
