I feel like this falls into the category where the news doesn't make a fuss not because of corporate media corruption (although that is 500% a thing) but because it isn't actually news
which... honestly is something they should do, they should keep reminding people of what's happening, and keep providing a record of what's changed and what hasn't

give them a grace period in which to make their own arrangements for becoming government contractors, and from there it's a question of administrative streamlining rather than hiring/firing
