Death's Gambit: It's good!

EsperBot
It's EXTREMELY souls but it looks and feels good to play

My biggest problem is the lack of a lockon - normally not an issue in 2D games, but holding down the shield button locks you in a direction adn it's not uncommon for large enemies to attack past you, and then turn around for a followup

EsperBot
so switching sides becomes important

EsperBot
I think I just need to get used to dodging through on those big attacks and then turning around with more space between us

The most interesting twist on the Souls formula: it's not your currency you leave on the spot where you died. It's one estus charge.

EsperBot
YOu can get it back also by paying a sum to the bonfire equivalent.

If you like Souls games, check it out, it's twenty bucks and it's good.
