also I'll be real honest: I was not very concerned about anyone in Wendimoor because enough people along the way were like This Can All Be Fixed that i figured it would get undone
After all the death in s1 I definitely was not sure whether or not people would be coming back. I wasn't hugely invested in the Wendimoorians but I was still like woaaaah fuck me when 93802409323903 of them died in front of Todd and Amanda and then all the other main side people died too

There are a few ideas thrown around in the second one, I'm not sure about them being actual extensions of Martin but there might be something to the idea that Martin was the original and the others were either discovered by him or 'turned' in some way
suggesting there was a change at some point, so turning isn't necessarily on the table. I don't remember anything about Project Blackwing making subjects either
also, someone on tumblr screen capped the FBI wanted snapshots that Hobbs pulls up on Todd, Amanda, and Farah and in Amanda's blurb it says at the bottom "May have some connection to missing subject, James Vogle
so judging by what priest says about adding the fourth member having destabilized the other three, and the way that despite the fact that Vogel is the youngest he's the one Martin tells to get Amanda out of there at the end of S1

I think they were more or less resigned to being part of Blackwing when it was just them but then they added this precious cinnamon roll and it was breakout time
I mean there's Bart, but Bart seems to have been more or less passive about Blackwing until she started learning about free will and personal autonomy and shit like that
