Oh...good morning. Yesterday was a holiday here so I came into work today with a backlog of work. Seems there was a critical system last week that failed (I discovered the failure), because our security department decided to expire the password and not tell anybody. My team did a great job tracking it down to our over ambitious security department.

When you came back from your holiday I was expecting you to say you came into work with a hangover instead of a backlog.

Sounds like your security department needs to learn how to communicate.

good job team. Things like that should ideally use APIs with authorisation that is granted and revoked separately from passwords. But managing those permissions is still a thing I guess.
