What is it with middleaged men that makes them feel like me using an elbike is a personal offense? I had two guys repeatedly tell me it 'is cheating'

what I told them is that I don't bike for fun. I do it for transportation

because how dare you not be pouring your blood sweat and tears into exercise routine on your daily commute?

it's exercise policing. nobody says anything if you drive a car to work, but if you bike they expect you to be working hard the whole time.
