Choi was talking about practical, cosplayable costumes for female heroes, and some of the best and most memorable redesigns that are those things are like... Batgirl. Spider-Woman. you know what they both are? JACKETS.

fix the gloves so they don't fall off, put some real boots on, and ... there you go. like you can fix it real easily without even changing a whole lot

like I tried putting the new one in perspective - it's way better than what she had in NYX or New X-Men, which is apparently all he read, so of course it feels like progress if that's all you know
