Question. My friend is doing a fundraiser to help fly her host mother in for her wedding and she's still around $400 short for the plane ticket. Would it be too weird if I just cover the rest of the difference? Is that too much?

It's her host mother from when we did a study abroad and she's from a third world country, so her trying to pay for the plane ticket herself is basically impossible. Her husband also just died a few months ago.

The friend doesn't have the most money either, so that's why they're asking for help.

I think calling it a wedding gift would be very appropriate.
