Many things will change for me in 2018. Some by the simple passage of time and things outside my control, and others within my control.

I've set a goal for myself of full retirement from the university by year's end, to be replaced by self-employment and my retirement benefits.

Go for it! I know you can do it!

To this end, I'll be making changes to my lifestyle and budgeting habits. Today I took the wistful step of discontinuing various charitable supports I've given to monthly. I love all the causes dearly, but I need to be my own cause for a while.

I know I can Stereo! It's rather exciting.

For the time being, I'll be spending less and saving more, and teaching myself a few more thrifty habits. I already live fairly simply, but I know I can do better.

Oi, more than one. You might want to look at Sandra Tayler's blog, she's not only quite thoughtful but sometimes discusses her frugal tips (fewer now, I think, that two of the kids are pretty much grown).

I'll see if I can find her blog, Corgi, thanks!

Corgi, I found Sandra Tayler's blog and it's a keeper. A lot of her challenges don't apply to me, but still resonate with me. One Cobble at a Time
