As a dental professional, I'm TICKLED about this! Holy moly, that's amazing. Also, sign me up! I've got quite a few teeth that could use this treatment.
Yeah, but enamel is easy to fix and once the dentin is repaired/pulp is covered you're no longer in root canal/losing the tooth territory. This isn't just about fixing cavities, it's about stopping further deterioration of the tooth.
I'd be more excited if the news said it has actually been approved. Been seeing news on this since 2008 and it's still not a thing you can get at an actual dentist
Tldr but are there any side effects? Like other regrowth elsewhere or just plain growth? Not looking to one day fix my cavities and accidentally contract cancer lol
there's a LOT dentists can do now, but the factor is cost. like I know that if i had the cash, i'd be able to be free of pain and nightmares, but! ~dental insurance isn't really a thing or covers much in my area~ so all this Cool Technology is still in the realm of "if you can afford a sports car, you can afford good teeth"
like for real, I've gotten quotes before and asked "how on earth can i afford that?!" and been told "find a better job"
