How did I not know chocolate hummus was a thing.

Tanarian
?!?

Searra
The chocolate completely masked the chickpeas, a bit smoother than average hummus and much lighter than frosting.

Good for dipping fruit, I'm sure, but we just used plain pita chips.

Stereo Nacht
I just feel
about that...

Tanarian
Weirdly enough, you can do a chocolate avocado puree that works similarly.

Stereo Nacht
At least, avocado is a fruit. I got an avocado milkshake once, it was surprisingly good.

Seems t'me that chickpeas are sometimes treated more like a grain than a veggie or protein. I know ya can get chickpea flour, so in that context chocolate don't sound so bad. (Jes so they don't add garlic.
)

Tanarian
All sorts of nut flours too, but I don't know how they keep the process from creating butters instead.

If you didn't know it was hummus, I don't think you would guess. It had a creamy quality and reminded me a little of chocolate pudding.
