I hope I am wrong. I will happily admit to being wrong.

But between how determined DW is to proscribe certain gender stereotypes and the emasculation inherent on the S1 arc of Broadchurch I am weary and wary.

And I get, I do, that for a fair interpretation of the Master, Missy makes sense. He's always been very Victorian over the top over-determined etc, so Victorian ladydomme I guess works.
