[Stupid of the day] "I understand that racism and sexism exist, but white male privilege is a myth."

He's just a looser who's unhappy with his life, and thinks it'd go better if he could use resources intended to help women and people of color deal with racism and sexism without having to actually deal with racism.

Is he around the poverty line, income wise?

I honestly think it's the word "privilege" that straight white men struggle to accept sometimes, until they're given specific examples of stuff that happens to people of color, women, etc. that does not happen to them.

Granted, some will still refuse to accept it and take the stance of "I've never seen that happen" or whatever, but I can see how it is hard to swallow the concept that one is privileged when one is struggling to pay rent and afford food.

And he's in his 40s lives with his mother no income of his own a few attempts to start his own business etc.

So I can see how the idea that he has privilege would be hard for him to understand.

And I can confess I've had MANY occasions where people of color have told me "I deal with this and white people don't." and frankly, what they mentioned is something what white people deal with too, all the time and it's irksome UNTIL I remember that yes it's something that everyone deals with but white privlige makes it easier for me to overcome

I understand that it's hard. But it's not THAT hard.
