Fight Club(1999)
I don't know... just not so into it...

I like how the director put his ideas into the plots, and the music was great, the tense, the hints... You absolutely can smell something fishy about "Tyler" ... especially when I saw Mara said something about sex to the Narrator, who obviously has no name which implies that this character can be anybody, like you and me, sitting in front of the screen.
強||
Okay, back to the movie, Mara told the Narrator about the sex, but clearly He had no clue for he knew and thought the one she's banging with was "Tyler" not him. So here's the hint, "Who's Tyler?", "Who's the Narrator?"
強||
Then things got big. It's not just about the club any more, Tyler wanted to do something more dynamic; he began his "Project Mayhem"...the Narrator seemed like got shut off from Tyler. In fact, when watching this part and not knowing the real relation between the Narrator and Tyler, I thought the Narrator was just being jealous.
強||
Jealous about Mara and the blond guy who got crewed and was the part and got rather good attention from Tyler. But, there's always a but, it was not true.
強||
When the movie was almost 1/3 left, well, ain't sure if it's 1/3 or 1/4, it was when the Narrator began to realized what actually happened that several movies just came into my mind...those movies, roles tend to talk a lot and say a lot about life, philosophy, act somewhat like lunatics, have their own ways of interpreting things...
強||
to be honest, they are every definition of psychos, can be a good way for their views are mostly different from the general people. But look, sometimes, we general people do have some ideas that are similar to these special people. (speaking of this kind and that kind of people, I feel bad, we're all people, why define? we are different but we are the same!)
強||
there're several, no, tons of good expressions and lines from Tyler, being sarcastic about this world, filled with materials, not hard to imagine why he wanted this project, sorta Apocalypse? through pain can people understand things.
強||
====
In fact, I was not entirely there when watching, but just not in the right mood...
I admire the director and the script writer, I think the script's just great, being such sarcastic and meaningful, who else can think of such script?
強||
by the way, don't know why I'm writing this in English, had no clue!

I bought Blue-Ray, but I watched on Netflex, my god
suzie

after148722: 你不要亂喜歡這個噗,我看得心不在焉~~

因為要插進去筆電有點懶惰,我亞瑟iPad有載好的(幹
suzie

強||

by the way, i was "wowed" when the Narrator hit himself in his manager's office, which in a way showed He had issues... no one would punch themselves like that, it's sick but somehow shows he's desperate?
I find some conversation funny but can't recall.
I was impressed by Bob's boobies, it's kinda hurt, man tried to be more masculine but wind up havin' boobs
強||
But Tyler's idea is understandable, for me, I think. sometimes you just need to let it out! mentally to physically, like gaining power through fighting, get the bad stuff out of the mind, pure fight, enjoy the pain, so that's why Tyler hurt the Narrator using the lye, through the pain and find true self, like "修行"
強||
i don't know how men got brainwashed with these whole ceremonies and stuff, but it just worked, like how we got brainwashed by stuff, like carrots, some say have them adequately to keep you healthy! but some research would come up and tell you the opposite, bla bla bla. Truth to be told, believe whatever you want to believe, like the people in the club.
強||
i wanna take note down on what Tyler said, good words, wise words, i think imdb recorded those, so...and i got BD! :-P
強||
Suddenly came over my mind that, in modern times, we're indeed living in a materialized life, so what? It's a progress, evolution, could be a good way, and a bad way
強||
And I thought about Marilyn Monroe and her work, and the song Madonna sang, "Material Girl," meh
