okay so: if I am understanding this question correctly, his inventory has been powercapped by hammerspace - this means its mechanical function is identical to hammerspace, but it can absolutely retain whatever aesthetic properties it originally had

well the question was, his canon hammerspace isn't HIS exactly. It's granted to him by someone else. So I wasn't sure if it would actually function at all since it's not his own power since that someone else isn't here.

Not a mod, but pretty sure there's no chance at all his hammerspace is still connected to his home world. Whatever he had in it when he arrived is all he has from home - when he increases his hammerspace he can put more into it but he doesn't get anything else from home
