Oh no! If you can replace it, this is the time, before it blows out and soaks everything. Demand water heaters are the best, but it would require a big overhaul.

Yes, I agree. Will be looking at options with them but will probably go old school with another 50 gallon tank.

Waiting till tomorrow to get it done, thankfully it is a slow drip.

If I push for it today it will be a $300 weekend charge on top of what ever the final total will be.

corrosion at the fittings. I have a small bucket catching the drip and will check it through out the day to get an idea, but for now I doubt it is more than a quart over 24 hours.

I was looking for something that I have been searching for since Friday. Finally found that item after calling about the plumber. If it was not for this item I would probably not heard the hot water heater issue in time.

I was in the garage on Friday after yard work and other things around the house, but the big door was open so it was not quiet enough to hear this drip.

I'm glad it's just a drip and not a trickle. I wonder if some modeling clay or putty or something would keep it from expanding before tomorrow.
