this is one of those times when dreams don't seem to translate well into reality

it sounds to me like they need to learn to take better care of their stuff. I have a friend who has a bear one and just. dry your hands and cooking with your phone is a cross contamination hazard anyway, and anything fuzzy you own should be regularly brushed

I feel like they maybe just weren't aware that different materials require different care

and now they're disappointed that they didn't think their choice through before they made it

though in my own experience I am so super clumsy I'd probably run into similar issues?

yeah I mean. it would be like wearing white clothing. if you're messy, it is not going to stay white for long. no one writes it off as horribly impractical though, they buy a thing of bleach and get on with their life

it's hella cute and usually cute things just take more care in general
