Yeah, when that hurricane had pretty much destroyed Louisiana, Obama was going to go there, but the governor specifically requested that he didn't because of how much his presence would draw away from the relief effort.

But they were more worried about the cost of keeping him safe while he was helping everyone out. But, I'm not from Louisiana nor have I been there, so that could well be the reason too.
