- as a level 70 White Mage, I can theoretically solo Titan EX. (the dps race isn't a problem and the gaols are easily survivable, it just takes forever. Sadly, the higher ping or whatever it's called after the NA server relocations makes dodging the landslides way harder.)
(I used to be so proud of my dodging skills, and now I always just barely get out of the way of the faster AoEs. Comparing with how it works on a EU server indicated that it's somehow not actually my dodging skills that are the problem.)
- Wow that tank in the Temple of the Fist was merciless, haha. If I had a pony for every time their HP dropped into double digits before I could get them up again, I'd be halfway to the kirin by now.
- I like how the Stormblood msq required almost zero grinding as long as you kept up with the sidequests. I did one roulette at 64 or so, repeated one of the dungeons once for glamour gear and only hit a level lock right before the end, and even then, punching a single Fate pushed me over to 70. That was nice.
hehe, I can imagine. People have done some amazing stuff with multiple characters placing their minions juuust right, but furniture of them would be so cute too...
I think I'm going to grab one or two more pieces of equipment if I can before I go in there because wow, that first boss there seems to be made out of All The Mechanics, held together by crossover fanfic and Cid's annoyance
Though like. Dang, Tsukikage, when an Ul'dah merchant takes your offer at face value and offers you more money, you probably didn't ask for enough, lol
one thing I particularly love about the way Stormblood does sidequest storylines is that sometimes when you've finished two of them in the same area, you'll get one or two more quests that will combine the two and their characters in interesting ways. It makes the world feel so connected
And the annual short stories are back too! And I'm really charmed that the first one ties in ever so slightly with the 60+ white mage job quests, even if it's just a cameo from the new npcs
okay, slight spoilers for the short story (but not really Stormblood itself) here, but one of the most fascinating differences between the English and German translations for this story is the very last set of lines.
In the English version, as you can see, it's M'naago thinking about how Yda/Lyse is still the same person & friend even after revealing her identity. The German version goes like this:
The impulsive pugilist in her fire-red dress, M'naago thought, had already stepped out of her father's shadow a long time ago. She just hadn't noticed it yet."

piratesconfederatesLooks like what we're getting this year, clothes-wise, are dyeable clothes similar to the shisui gear. Neat!
