there is an element of chance in who gets involved, and I don't think you should be obligated to avoid a jaunt just because you've been involved in plot previously
Yeah, I would say don't worry about being involved in plot too much. You're not being mean about it or blocking other people from doing anything, so it's not a problem.
I mean, do you think a lot of the players are being shafted by, idk, timezones or something and need an extra day to keep up? That was one reason I didn't put up a plotting post or spearhead the breakout even if Altair totally would have.
mostly it's just kinji exists in a state of "GOTTA DO THE THING" a good deal of the time, and his impulsiveness tends towards seeking out Plot when he's himself
sometimes it is favouritism or people 'hogging plot' or whatever...but most of the time, it's really just that the people who do the most work at getting involved end up being involved
It may be that the same players are more available and more savvy with guessing plots. However, Syn is a particular kind of beast where we have to guess at Jaunt plot as a game mechanism, so it's more tangled up with the game as a whole.
I'm the opposite, where i come up with an idea halfway through and worry i might be Late and no one will tag me, which might be exasperated with this change, BUT
In a cruel twist of irony, the Jaunt i just submitted is the old 7-day formula, but one of the mingles is just "the last mingle, part 2" so i think it will be fine
and i'm going to revise my not-redwall so it has four long mingles and is no longer time compressed
