My god, iTunes is frustrating me again.

How bad can you make a software... it gets worse with each release.

All I want is a list with all the albums, sorted backwards with the latest albums on top. WHY is that not working?

Trying MediaMonkey right now. It has exactly the list format I want. Lets see how this works. At least it didnt take over my "collections" from iTunes... hm.

oh, looks like you first scan all your song folders and then you can import stuff from itunes database... scanning now...

I absolutely recommend Music Bee

It's pretty similar to Mediamonkey which I used in the past, but the super easy way in which Music bee also helps you reorganize the music collection totally got all my points and also you can import the library from iTunes or create a mirror of the one in musicbee to use there. Has plug-ins worth checking as well and is free-eee-eee

And it by default has a USEFUL layout too!

the "now playing page" adds the lyrics and displays some matching images, too...

Yesssss!!! That's another of the reasons why I love it! And if it doesn't find the lyrics you can right click and will do a Google search for you to just paste them..
