finally put enough water into the hydrangea to get it to perk up its flower heads and open them properly.

limited in how much I can add at a time because it's in a big pot in a dish and the water will just run through. It seems to need watering at least twice a day at the moment compared with once a day for most of the other things.

it has come out pink, though, despite all the chemicals for turning it blue.

meanwhile I've seen the blackbirds pecking and ripping out small plants and the pigeons trampling over everything else I'm trying to revive - such as the pansies and the poor rhubarb. No wonder they never stand a chance.
