It's weirdly cute watching the Metroid Database website flip the hell out over the announcement of not just one but two metroid games

like i don't mean the forums, i never watch those

but with the flood of updates on the front page you can tell they're just brimming with joy

I keep checking in with them regularly to see what they're up to and like most metroid fans they just kind of exist and occasionally post new t-shirts or something, but when a game drops it's fucking go time

i just find it weirdly endearing
