My parents are embarrassingly unenlightened on transgender issues and it's getting pretty infuriating

I'm tired of having this conversation every time my cousin comes up

you'd think that with my cousin, my dad's old high school friend's daughter, and the fiance of my best friend from college all being transgender they'd at least have the courtesy by now to mind their own business but

gotta talk about it AT LENGTH at every opportunity and throw around all sorts of small-minded nonsense

like why am I even bothering trying to explain this if you guys aren't going to listen
