Why is it so freaking hard to find a Bluetooth gamepad for my Windows tablet

TrueBlueSpark
I just want a gamepad that doesn't take up a USB slot

TrueBlueSpark
is that so much to ask

TrueBlueSpark
but I've gotten two delivered from Amazon this week

TrueBlueSpark
and then I get "oh sure you can connect with Bluetooth... but only on Android"

TrueBlueSpark
why is this one thing so impossible to find

TrueBlueSpark
they sell Bluetooth literally everything else

TrueBlueSpark
but not a gamepad, oh no

TrueBlueSpark
and boy I sure do love when pads that aren't Bluetooth show up in the search

TrueBlueSpark
and even pads that have a frigging wire

hypemachine.
xbox wireless controller?

hypemachine.
I don't know if it'll work with windows RT (if that's the kind on your tablet) but it works with windows 7-10 it looks like so maybe 8|a

TrueBlueSpark
the tablet's a Surface with Windows 10, actually, so maybe...

TrueBlueSpark
I don't like those bulky controllers, though. or the weird placement of the left stick

hypemachine.
oh yeah that should totally work then

hypemachine.
oh

TrueBlueSpark
okay maybe I should be a bit less picky

hypemachine.
maybe also look for a third party xbox controller with better placement for your taste...? idk

TrueBlueSpark
... why would you put "without Bluetooth" in your item description so that it pops up in searches for Bluetooth

TrueBlueSpark

TrueBlueSpark
maybe I'll just say fuck it and get the Logitech controller with the USB dongle

TrueBlueSpark
at least their stuff usually works

TrueBlueSpark
I'm done buying tech from Amazon with brand names I've never heard of

TrueBlueSpark
okay, I'm going to try one more as soon as I get the refund off this last one

TrueBlueSpark
this one sounds like it has potential

TrueBlueSpark
it says Windows first, and specifically talks about Steam, so...

TrueBlueSpark
belatedly, the Stratus XL is working out well!

TrueBlueSpark
A couple of my games have trouble recognizing it, but the rest seem to be working out just fine
