Interesting phenomenon I've noticed but have no scientifically valid data to base it on:

Whenever it's warm here, it's cold there, and vice versa.

This occurs with about 90% consistency according to my obs over the past three years

(At least for fall-spring months)

I imagine the Rockies, the Cascades and the Olympics all contribute.
