I've got some weird/complicated financial situations, and I've lived in four states and had to pay concurrent taxes in at least two at a time. I've always used TurboTax, and I found it really user-friendly and uncomplicated the first year I tried to figure everything out on my own.

I also generally find that most institutions that are responsible for handling your money will send you all the relevant information you need in order to be able to file taxes. So presumably, whoever is handling your loan should send along the forms you'd need to be able to fill out your taxes.

That is the other nice thing about TurboTax - if you use it repeatedly, it'll save information about you, so you might not need to input as much stuff in following years. And it asks you really straightforward questions about your living/financial situations to figure out what forms you need to file.

my taxes were so complicated one year they wanted to charge me $50 from TurboTax and considering I was going to be paying taxes anyway (you rarely get a return as a contractor) I got pissed off and found an alternative lol
