For her own life/health/safety, it would definitely be that one moment where the Archdemon was dying, but not dead yet. With that column of light eclipsing everything and her having zero idea of what to watch for if anything re: Morrigan's ritual
For others? Well I guess it kind of evokes the same idea, but it would be the moment Kitty possessed Amalia, but before she'd made a move to attack - because she knew she would. Hell, if you get that result, you've screwed up to the point the game animates your Warden's face appropriately in reaction.
If I had to pick just one it would probably be ambition. It used to be wisdom because that's what mattered more before everything went pear-shaped, but then she learned the thing that gets results in the real world is ambition - but maybe not the right results if it's not tempered by wisdom.
actually, looking at what she admires most about the people she meets in general, I want to say wisdom wins overall? Because the most valuable thing to her in any new interaction is what she can learn about their stance on life.
because the way she isolated herself in Circle life saw some pretty stunted social development, and she spent most of the game learning things her childhood should have taught her.
while she was rebuilding her self-concept throughout the Origins basegame, she really had nobody to reflect against except Alistair and Morrigan (and then later Wynne and Morrigan - there was a great almost meta moment when both of them were in her party and they were the perfect image of the shoulder angel/devil conflict - it was the best thing)
anyway I guess that makes this one also a mix of both, in that constructive way that contributes towards improvement rather than one to the detriment of the other. There's a healthy trait in here somewhere and here it is.
But she grew out of mistrusting everyone by default, with help from Alistair. (and a push from Morrigan, who served as an example of what she might become if she kept everyone at arm's length - this kind of ties in to the previous answer, actually)
like I can't even say that Jowan caused that initial mindset - she didn't trust anyone who wasn't one of her key authority figures (Greagoir and Irving) or Jowan to have innocent intentions. Anyone else wanted to be close to her? Must be a plot somewhere! That or they were mistaken.
so bringing up this one with her gets her kicking herself a lot - but also actively looking for ways to not let down an entire goddamn nation like that again.
like maybe speaking up about how absurd it is for a total outsider with barely any working knowledge of her own nation to be making decisions for another.
it even survived Jowan's threatened Tranquility because at least she could reason that away as "maybe he believes he really can't go through with the Harrowing and this is the only way to not kill him"
WHAT REASONABLE HUMAN BEING WOULD AGREE TO PUT ANOTHER PERSON IN SOLITARY CONFINEMENT FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR AND WHY DO THEY THINK THAT IS AT ALL APPROPRIATE TO DO TO A MAGE, WHO KIND OF NEED TO BE PSYCHOLOGICALLY FIT FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE AROUND THEM
I mean she still loves the man, she's just. bitter. in part because she never knew. part of that goes back to self-deprecation again, even, because if she had made more attempts to reach out she might have been aware of the repeat escapee and his escalating punishments.
I think because of that there's more room to allow for her flaws than with Irving. So far none of her shortfalls have had quite the same impact, no matter how much she disagreed.
because just as a part of her younger self believed she was unworthy of affection from others, so it told her that her own feelings for anyone else were ultimately useless.
I'll ramble about Katherine any day. There's so much development she went through I'm still unpacking it, and I was the one in control of it! So any opportunity to reiterate points or visit them from new angles is A+
