it'd depend on his background, but if the character was an american, probably an american name with an indian surname (and possibly a middle name that was his indian name, again depending on the background of the character)
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
-- ahaha i was gonna say exactly what cyn said
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
also you could always do what kal penn did
STEPH 2.0๐Ÿ”ช
what did they do
STEPH 2.0๐Ÿ”ช
i know next to nothing about indian names i need to research
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
turned his indian first name into a complete first and last stage name
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
kalpen suresh modhi -> kal penn
neve
yeah what cyn said
neve

neve

neve
american first name*
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
a majority of indian american 2nd and particularly 3rd gen kids have both indian and american first names that they go by - some prefer to be called by their indian first names, others keep it for family
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
and like in high school will insist on going by their american name
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
other asian culture kids do this too
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
my mom has so many students who have certain preferences on what people get to call them
๐”Ÿ๐”ž๐”ซ๐”ฆ๐”ฐ๐”ฅ๐”ข๐”ก ๐Ÿฆ‡

STEPH 2.0๐Ÿ”ช

dont forget im here forever
๐๐„๐Ž๐ ๐ƒ๐„๐Œ๐Ž๐.
but tbh i think significantly fewer indian students do that than say, korean - idk it's so interesting to me, the degrees of westernization that people prefer - so yeah it def depends on where the oc lives/bg
Lyra + a Player
Definitely second/thirding the "it depends on the OC and their relationship wrt culture if they are Indian-American"
แด‡แด ษชแด‡
...I always thought he looked like a Jimmy.
STEPH 2.0๐Ÿ”ช
แด‡แด ษชแด‡
/not helpful regarding ethnic considerations, Aziz Ansari just looks like a Jimmy to me.
แด‡แด ษชแด‡
but then again he'll always be Tom Haverford, too.
