If you know your dog bites people, would you at least warn people coming over? These people just let their dog attack me and were like "oh. He's just protective."
Kianna Noel
Yeah that would be the very first thing I'd say as you walked into my home
[Fetch]
Right? He attacks people if they get too close to the woman. She walked up next to me and the dog bit me. They warned me AFTER the fact.
Kianna Noel
Jerks
[Fetch]
Yeah. I was just standing there lol.
Zoie
Thats horrible!
vespertine
definitely
vespertine
my dog usually barks before something happens, so he warns them instead of me lol...
Zee
Yes, always. None of my dogs are 'biters' but my cattledog is a working dog and can be a bit much. So if I invite people over, I make the time to educate them about it
Zee
So that they make informed decisions about their behaviour, what's cool and what's not. And always keep an eye on the dogs and guests.
Zee
If she knew the dog did that, then she shouldn't have walked up to people.
Deadpool
If they knew their dog was a violent little fuck and were having people over, they should muzzle it, OR put it in another room. For both the human and the dogs sake.
Deadpool
I'm not above saying, i'd punch anything that bit me if I wasn't threatening it -__-
[Fetch]
Yeah. After she was like "oh he always bites when people are to close to me." THEN BITCH GET AWAY FROM ME
Deadpool
Including idiot owners. Because it's people like that that allow their dogs to whatever they want, that give a stigma to others of that breed.
[Fetch]
Yep. I mean he barely broke the skin and I didn't bleed much but...lol they are lucky it was me and not a stranger
[Fetch]
They are my mothers racist trump loving in laws.
Indi
So I have a dachshund who WILL bite you if you're a stranger. He doesn't see all that well and he has super bad anxiety. He's bitten multiple people before, almost all in situations where they ignore
Indi
The do not open this freakin gate or else signs and I have no time to grab him. He's my responsibility. I know he bites. I always crate him or lock him outside if weather permits. Or in the case
Indi
Of an event where there's lots of people for a long time like a party I take him to my moms. He's protective and insane but it's still my job to do that stuff.
Zee
Owners need to take charge of their dogs, it's that simple. Only we know how our dogs are, how they are in certain situations and it's our responsibility to control the situation.
Zee
I get really pissy about owners who have very little control and awareness of their dogs...because we won't put down the owners but put down the dogs with shit owners.
Elroth
Nope, so much nope. Not acceptable. They are responsible for their dogs behaviour and a dog that actively attacks people for any reason needs to be dealt with, not fucking laughed off. Morons.
Indi
Zee
: I hate when people are like "oh he's fine!". No he's not. I know my dog. I know when he's gonna be nervous. And then if I were to leave him and he bit them they would be pissed.
Zee
Indi
: exactly. The dog is fine with us, with his usual people and his usual environment, but probably not with any other people. Owners MUST be aware of this.
[Fetch]
exactly. I'm not mad at the dog ONE bit. He was a sweetheart other than this. But if you own a dog, you have to tell people if there is something that is gonna set them off. You just have to
[Fetch]
Like my dog? Will FLIP OUT if someone walks into my house with a hat on. She just hates hats. I know this and i make sure no one is wearing a fucking hat in my house lol
