Oregonians, have you seen the Dennis Richardson ads? The one where this Portland woman talks about lead in the water and sexual predators in the schools?

Can anyone tell me what the hell the Secretary of State has to do with that? The SoS audit state agencies, license businesses and run elections.

School districts are required to file audit reports every 5 years with Business Services, but those audits are done by private accounting firms. They are not the kinds of audits the SoS does.

That is data collection and storage. It seems so exploitive and fear mongering to make his campaign on tackling problems not in his purview.
