It just doesn't look all that different. It's all but a normal Raichu with the angles softened.

I can see how it's cuteness would deter some people (like what happened with the Fairy types), but I think it's cute personally.

the ears are overly large and make it look unbalanced. The normal raichu is cute enough as is

I think what bothers me is the other pokemons so far have had these CRAZY changes. Opposite types, change to the line art as well as recolouring. Sandscrew looks like an igloo, Ninetails is majestic as fuck

I'm undecided about the form. It kind of looks like hey tried to make Raichu look more like Pikachu again. I still prefer its original look to this I think.
