a beastpile!

one beast-centered guest episode mentioning two comics i'd never heard of and had trouble finding online, then tossing two 90s minis i'd never read in there too

one of which is a hank/simon teamup, my ship

(also finally getting #2 of the current hellcat series so i can continue reading through the backlog)

i'm most excited for this marvel team-up, not only because i love any time hank and spidey chill together

but because it's apparently the first time hank's parents show up after xavier mindwiped them to forget he even exists

though i don't know if it even remembers that plot point

norton and edna remember their son through the process of writers forgetting they wouldn't

and then edna freaks out that he's blue

"this is not the son i forgot i had"

now that i think about it, there was a marvel comics presents story with his high school sweetheart

she became a mad scientist, but was undermining her evil schemes because her memories of hank were starting to resurface, and she subconsciously invited him to stop her

so i guess it just wore off his parents first, but the marvel teamup just forgot it happened entirely

marvel team-ups: not bastions of continuity

yeah, but i knew they came back in his life, i have an annual where he visits them (because it's the same one where dark beast kidnaps him and starts pretending to be him. comics.)

i figure the mindwipe just...went away eventually??
