I know no one personally who doesn't believe in evolution.

What I know is that Darwin's theory has holes in it that you could drive trucks through. All the amazing stuff that scientists have found and continue to find, happened by accident?!

actually yes, most of evolution happened by serendipity and survival of the fittest... and took millions of years to either get right or completely fuck up to extinction

I like to give the example of lungs. Some fish specy, at some point, lived in shallow water. One of those fishes had a mutation that gave him proto-lungs. It didn't prevent it from living in the water, didn't

give it any special advantage or disadvantage, and so it passed its mutation to its descendants. But at some point, a drought happened. Fishes with the proto-lung mutation survived, those without died.

And then another mutation changed the proto-lung into more developed lungs, and that gave the mutated not-quite-fish-anymore either an instant advantage, or its descendants. Etc.
