Oh man! That 2nd paragraph makes me want to run out and get this whole series! Dammit Cajsa my wishlist is in the billions already, what are you doing to me?!

Did you like the Garnethill trilogy as much? That was her earliest work, I like to read in order where possible, not just in series themselves but whole bodies of work, if I'm interested in an author, and it

sounds like I'd be interested in her!

Garnethill was my favorite because it was so very new and unlike anything I had read before. It was haunting. The entire trilogy was shattering, I have loved everything she's written, but that was the best.

Or, to be fair to the rest of her books, it was new - and by new, I mean something fresh, unique. There are plenty of noir mysteries and Ruth Rendell and Minette Walters can be damn creepy and unnerving with

the grim assessment of humanity's capacity for evil, but Mina goes deeper. There's no comfort in Garnethill, no comfort at all.

Awesome, okay, definitely need to acquire!
