Garnethill was my favorite because it was so very new and unlike anything I had read before. It was haunting. The entire trilogy was shattering, I have loved everything she's written, but that was the best.
Or, to be fair to the rest of her books, it was new - and by new, I mean something fresh, unique. There are plenty of noir mysteries and Ruth Rendell and Minette Walters can be damn creepy and unnerving with
