It's who you are and what you sell, too. I mean, I know like noone in SL. And my only real product is my pose stand with hud. Would you think anyone would find my stuff attractive in a sim?

Apart from that: yah, landlords often are just dickheads.

Compared to some of the other stuff on that sim, your stuff would look really nice. I saw some ugly, n00bish items over there.

Tillie : LOL. Well, they often are dickheads. I hope someday to buy my own sim. And I'll probably be a dickhead cuz I'd mess things up. hahah

I have seen quite some idiotic landlords/landladies already, some of my friends had to cope with. And it was only for private housing, not shop lots.

I finally got a sim and they have their stuff there now. I pay like 95% of the tier. Where we are back to topic: fair deal with virtual rent...?

Tillie : Yeah. My last private housing landlord was actually cool. He and I still chat. But I figure that I don't have the energy to keep up a store and a house parcel (unless they could be combined but no).

It's 360 bucks for me a month, from that money other people rent a flat in RL. So I get like nothing, in comparison... >.<

Tillie : Awww. That hurts. Sim prices are so high. I want to see if I can earn more inworld for a bit.

Tillie : Thanks. I am trying hard to cut down on my SL spending to focus on creating and learning. I have been spending a lot more lately and really, I don't unpack it all. I'll get around to it soon. lol

What about getting land for a store on mainland?

DevinVaughn : Mainland seems laggier to me. Or is that just me?

Vic Lenoirre : you need to a good section of mainland, but there are so many abandoned lands, it's not that hard to find one. You put your up high in the sky away from the ground where the lag is.

DevinVaughn : Sounds good, but the sky can be full and laggy anyway. I once had a rental. Everyone was in the sky and the lag was horrid. So I moved down to the ground, still laggy. I am now at an estate sim.

It's a Dream Seeker estate. I like it so far. I pay a lot less than the old place so it's cool.

Vic Lenoirre : I've been on mainland for 4 years. Only where there was a hacker attack was it laggy. When it does, I just message tech support for sim restart
