Like I think you(?)ve mentioned before if they had done more with the whole heir of Oswell thing. Like here is this outsider they bring in and he's all smart and Garrett is all pleased and here is Raymond
Even if you had kept Raymond as Garrett's nephew as opposed to making him his actual son (which I think would have worked much better), there's still room to draw out an interesting and dramatic story.
Which, okay, I can understand that Graces isn't exactly dependent on dialogue choices to advance the plot, but the pair of scenes in main arc where you see just how off the wall Garrett is are both easily
