Why do so many of the items in Genre's Post Apoc round have the name "Wastelands" or "Wastelander" slapped on them? (I mean, yeah I know The Wastelands is a post-apoc sim, cos I am a resident there but...)

There has to be other post apocalyptic related names tho right?

Maybe it's because "Post-Apocalyptic" is a little polysyllabic, and also seems like it's describing the, well, genre. It would be like calling something a Dystopian Helmet, or Futurist Goggles.

But I agree, there are way more evocative - and specific - words! Salvager / Salvaged, Raider, Scavenger / Scavenged, Junk, Scrap...

I think I saw a leather coat called "Wastelander Duster" - that one, I think I might have seen another similar coloured coat with that name from a different creator.

"Wasteland" might have been a bit better, but still describes a landscape more than a thing. I AM BAFFLED

Maybe they just really, really want us to buy their stuff!

Eh, yeah.  It looks like a nice piece, but not so great for The Wastelands in specific, since it would be asserting we're in the ruins of New York.

Plus it doesn't look like you could climb up there without flying from the picture. It'd be something I'd keep in my inv and then take out to look at and in that case, tbh a pic of it suits me well enough!

Maybe there's a laddery thing on the back.  Still, agreed!
