Oooo - excitement! We've just had the police searching our garden and fossicking around in the cat shelter for a key. A stolen car was parked in the driveway to the flats, right across our garden gate.

Eep. That's a bit too close to home!

IN my neighborhood, the police barely respond to stolen cars. Only to towing them away. They NEVER ever investigate anything to do with them....

hidden where "they" (car thieves?) could fond it again. Car thieves usually just strip the car of anything valuable and dump it. They don't usually hide the keys intending to come back.

Even stranger is that on Friday evening a police car drove into the car park of the flats and just sat in the middle, as though waiting for something to happen. There was also a police chopped in the sky later.

This makes me suspect that this particular car is related to some other crimes...

My thoughts exactly.
Just realised that something else was odd - they took the car away. When our car was stolen it sat for days after it had been reported to the police. We had to go and pick it up.
