[pet TMI] Well, my morning started off on the wrong foot.

I was writing a note at 5:30am when my stupid boy cat trots into my room, waltzes into my closet, and I hear the telltale whizzing sound. He ran as soon as I got up to see what he was doing, because WHAT. WHY.

After I turned on the light and threw the doors open to clean it up, I realized this is not the first time. There were other spots in various stages of drying that looked like blood, which means they'd been
ᎶᎪbbᎽᏁᎾᏒmᎪᏞ
there for a while. Grrrr. I think he's been doing this every day for a week, and I only just noticed. 
ᎶᎪbbᎽᏁᎾᏒmᎪᏞ
So I spent about an hour spraying every spot with Spot Shot and blotting it up to get the stains out, and then doused everything with Odor Ban and closed the doors. I'm afraid to check on how it's doing. :-/

well, when I went into the cleaning closet to get the stuff, he followed me in expecting breakfast. So I bopped his nose and gave him a very stern "No." Which seemed to do the trick.

This is the first time I've ever had problems with him marking. We even had a friend's visiting dog pee in the master bedroom once, and he never tried marking the spot. So I have NO IDEA why the closet

okay, just went in & opened up the closet doors to let the carpet air a bit. And ... yeah, still smells like pee. Although the Odor Ban is helping. I'll dust some baking soda in there later & see what it does.

baking soda helps (for me) and there's a CO2 cleaner you can get in most grocery stores that really works.
