Oh no. That lady needs to step away from a computer.

I had a boss (nekokoban's old boss) who once had a long phone argument with their provider over what spam was

he'd sent out newsletters to everyone who ever purchased something from the internet and a bunch of people marked it as spam and so they flagged him

and he was like 'but it's not spam, they're my customers!' and the lady on the phone (he only did speaker phone calls) was like 'sir did they sign up?' 'they're my customers'

back and forth over and over and he could just not understand that purchasing something did not mean you were opting in to the newsletter and sending people advertisements unasked for was in fact spam
