I think the most frustrating thing about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity is that it features some Pokemon that you can't recruit. that's just not fair

there are only 144 recruitable Pokemon species. and you can have 288 (I think) recruited at once. that seem wrong to anyone else?

it's got some really great additions, though! improving Paradise is a good idea! upgrading moves is great!

Companion Mode means that you don't need to wait until the post game to make any Pokemon the leader and ditch the player and partner, and it means you can do random missions even during plot stuff!

shared EXP makes it much easier to use all your recruits!

and some of the changes are a mixed bag. turning IQ skills into Team skills means less time grinding IQ, but it also makes the Pokemon more generic

automatic recruits make certain starters bad choices, and it's not like we have much choice in starters in the first place
