One thing I've noticed since Dive shut down is that there are certain characters that I think I probably ran to a certain limit that having a break from them is probably a GOOD thing.

I had trouble trying to play Masaru at DS for the short while I had him earlier in the year. It feels like that's one where my brain hasn't fully reset on yet.

If anything, looking at NEW characters is probably a good idea, though there's still a few oldies in here. Thus...

I have almost 100 hours strong in this game and am looking at new playthrough. XD; I have a lot of characters I could PROBABLY play from here, but most are rooted in the second generation.

Owain is the front runner out of everyone. Cynthia a close second. Lucina, Nah, and Severa are also all entirely probably.

Really, I'm very flexible when it comes to this game's cast, I think.

For the first gen, F-Robin, Cordelia, Tharja, or Chrom would also all be totally possible.

At the moment this series is up in my top list of favorite shows in the franchise.

I would love to play any of the five main girls, but particularly Rikka.

But I sort of have this hang up with characters in that if I can't bring them into a game with as close to their canon abilities as possible, when it's not game breaking then it feels like...

...I'm missing a large part of that character and disinterest sets in before I even start.

The Doki girls? By all rights SHOULD be terribly difficult to bring into most games as most games are probably going to deem the fairies as independent characters.

You'd probably be lucky to find five separate people to play the main team, much less FIVE MORE to play fairies that hang on their hips and are immobile for entire courses of battle.

Masaru I still need to let rest awhile, I think. He just didn't click right with me in DS which was a weird feeling, and even in the little bit I did I had to keep fighting to write a DIFFERENT Masaru.

With Tamers, I could probably still roll with Ruki. She's much like Nanami, in that I never really hit her potential. Or Older!Shaochung wherever I could place her. Really, Tamers seems like one of the stronger

I can still play Sayu, but the thing about Sayu is that I have a whole variety of VERSIONS of her now. It's really more a matter of finding places she'd fit.

As a default I can play her COH version without skipping much of a beat, I think.

Also from COH - Infinity Saber, Oblivion Surge, and Mistress Stormfire are all pretty strong possibilities.

Lumping these two together because of the oldies, despite copious amounts done with them, I can still play Nanoha, Xellos, or Lina I think. Lina wasn't a problem for me at DS, just time.

Nanoha is unique in that I can pull her from so many different time periods.

Like, objectively, I've never really felt most of my Toku characters have been their strongest. Those I think I feel good with (Gokaigers!) do require a certain level of the right atmosphere to work.

Then there's finding a game I can keep up with. Like, it's not even a measure of "I need a slow game!"

A game that's too slow and I would be hard pressed to pay attention.

But like, "Am I going to be lost if I go a day or two without looking at this place?"

It hinges on both that and just how much stuff do I have to keep up with.
