Had no idea all this stuff about shark fin soup

I only had it once at my brother's and sister-in-law's wedding, but I don't remember it being that great even?

I don't even like sharks

But it seems so pointless and wasteful

And cruel

I mean, it'd be like if we chopped off a cow's legs, while it's alive, then tossed the rest of it out to wiggle around until it died

I knew sharks were overfished because of the soup but I didn't know about these practices. it's awful.

I didn't even know the industry doesn't used the rest of the sharks. That's...pretty disturbing.

And they pay so much for the soup!
