man i just hate how small most cups and glasses are

when i have a place of my own, i will stock nothing but high-capacity tumblers and mugs.

Amen to that.

If the mug can't at least hold a whole can of soda in it, I don't want to hear about it.

in this house we only have two large glass tumblers and one huge glass stein mug

then like ten awkwardly-shaped middling-sized glasses that are almost big enough but small enough to be mildly frustrating

Oh those middle ones are the worst. And then you end up having to have the can sitting next to the cup with just a little tiny bit left in it and just. No why.

i swear to god when i'm frustrated about the other glasses sometimes i just say fuck it and fill up the stein

it's excessive, but at least it's always enough.

i don't typically drink soda from glasses, though, i tend to just drink directly from the can

(also i'm in the process of quitting soda altogether so oh no glasses are becoming more of a problem now)

SAME ACTUALLY, it's usually when I need to add ice. I just use a soda can as my metric for volume 'cause "1 quart" or "2 ounces" or whatever has never ever gelled in my head as a thing.

TL;DR if it wouldn't hold enough soda, it wouldn't hold enough milk/juice/whatever.

I wish we had a stein, I really want to drink out of one of those one day. /completely random hope and dream
